On Friday, June 10th, Anderson staff and students in grades K-6 spent the day at Riverside Park for Field Day. Seventh grade students ran every station and activity under the direction of Coach Knight and Coach Sanchez. Since this is an Olympics year, stations were Olympic events, from Tug of War (which was an Olympic event from 1900 to 1920) to soccer and golf. It was a great day for all!

Mediators gain skills by participating in the program: communicating verbally and nonverbally, actively listening, analyzing problems, identifying common interests, and learning to develop a plan.
Peer mediators care about others, are serious about helping peers solve their problems, provide an opportunity for both sides to tell their story, listen carefully and respectfully, are sensitive to each child's feelings, and are patient and friendly.
