Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls age eight to thirteen. The program combines training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting lessons. The goal of the program is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. At Girls on the Run, running is not just a metaphor; it inspires and motivates girls, encourages lifelong health and fitness, and builds confidence through accomplishment. The spring season is set to begin the week of March 19th and the end-of-season 5K Event is set for June 10th. GOTR: Girls on the Run (for girls in the 3rd -5th grades) Tues. & Thurs. 7:15-8:30 am GOT: Girls on Track (for girls in grades 6-8) Tues. & Thurs. 7:15-8:30 am Registration will be done entirely online this season for Anderson - go to: www.gotrm.org Program Fee is $225 per girl. Scholarships are available upon request for those who qualify.
