7th Grade Admissions (updated 3/27/25)
Families seeking a seat at The Anderson School for 7th grade, please contact the Morningside Family Welcome center at MorningsideFWC@schools.nyc.gov by May 16, 2025.
- A government-issued identification including a photo for the parent or guardian
- Two (2) of the documents listed in this checklist verifying proof of address
- Proof of your child’s age (child’s birth certificate, passport, or record of baptism -(only needed if new to NYCPS)
- Your child’s immunization records (if available and only for those new to NYCPS),
- Your child’s latest report card / transcript (if available and if new or returning to the city),
- Completed Student-registration-form (for FWC only)
Placement is prioritized for students not currently in a NYC DOE school in 6th grade unless your child attends 6th grade in a borough other than Manhattan and will be moving to Manhattan for 7th grade to avoid a reverse commute. Applicants will be reviewed in June 2025 (and in August 2025 if additional seats become vacant.)
